After more than a decade as an Accountant in the Oil and Gas industry, I joined Ira ISD in 2018 as Business Manager/Chief Financial Officer. I was told when moving into this role that it would take at least 3 years to learn the job, but even after all of these years, the learning never stops! School Finance is ever-changing and the Leadership Team at Ira ISD is always striving to be the best stewards of the tax payer’s dollars. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is getting to interact with Ira ISD students, faculty, staff, parents and community members.
My twin boys, Gunner and Cason became Bulldogs in 3rd grade and Gunner is now in High School. After the loss of our precious son, Cason, in 2023 my family and I experienced firsthand the love and support that Ira ISD and the Ira community is known for and we are so grateful the Lord led us here. My husband, Nathan Hines, proudly serves as the City of Snyder Fire Chief and loves serving Snyder and Scurry County, including Ira.
Nathan and I are both graduates of Snyder High School. I continued my education at Western Texas College where I earned an Associate’s Degree and I then went on to Tarleton State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
This is an exciting time of transition at Ira ISD and while we will always honor the past history of the school, we are thrilled to be part of what is to come!
