The 2024-2025 school year will be my twenty fifth year with Ira ISD, my twenty ninth in education. When I was first hired, I taught four sections of English and worked as the counselor. Besides counseling, my responsibilities include our migrant program, our ESL program, G/T, and testing.

I graduated from Snyder High School in 1989. I earned my Associates Degree from Western Texas College in 1991. I went on to get my Bachelor's Degree from Tarleton State University in 1993. In 2004, I graduated from Angelo State University with a Master's Degree in Counseling.

I am married to Mike and have two daughters. Amber has a BSN from Texas Tech and is a Trauma Program Coordinator at Covenant in Lubbock.  Anzlee is beginning her second year at Texas Tech University, so the only kids living at home at our two dogs: Trigger and Tes,.

I am a member of Calvary Baptist Church and serve in the Awana Program and media team.  When I have free time, I love to read. 

Before coming to Ira, I taught English at Snyder High School and Colorado Middle School.
