I am starting my 17 th year as an Ira Bulldog and 27 th overall in the education field after serving 10 years at
Western Texas College in a variety of capacities. When I came to Ira in August of 2008, there were 24
computers that had Internet access compared to over 600 devices currently on our network today. We
truly do live in a digital world!
I am originally from Ohio and graduated High School as a Caldwell Redskin before attending Ohio Valley
University in Parkersburg, West Virginia. And while I still cheer for the Buckeyes, Browns and Guardians,
I have set roots in Texas as my forever home having lived here for the past 42 years. I hold a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Biblical Studies as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science. I also hold numerous
technical certifications and have over 40 years experience in the field of technology ranging from
managing a Radio Shack Computer store to owning my own computer consulting and networking
business.
Over the past 17 years, I have served Ira ISD as the Director of Technology as well as coaching softball,
girls’ basketball, cross-country and track. I was also sponsor of the school’s SAVE (Students Against
Violence Everywhere) program for a number of years.
My wife, Cindy, is a 4 th generation graduate of Ira and we are proud that our grandson is currently
carrying on the tradition as a 7 th grade Bulldog. We have 5 children between us and 9 grandchildren
spread out across the globe from Granbury, TX to Nashville, TN to New Zealand.
I am proud of the strides Ira ISD has made over the past several years and look forward to even bigger
and better things in the future. Great People. Great History. Great Future. Go Bulldog Nation!!
