About Us

Ira Independent School District (Ira ISD) is a small, tight-knit public school district located in the rural community of Ira, Texas—primarily in southwestern Scurry County with a small extension into northwest Mitchell County Serving around 315 PK–12 students at a single campus, the district prides itself on offering personalized education and a 100 % graduation rate . Ira Bulldogs participate in a variety of extracurricular programs, from six-man football and basketball to track, baseball, softball, cross country, tennis and more. With school colors of orange and black and a strong sense of community, Ira ISD strives to prepare every student for success—whether in college, career, or civic life—with pride in the district that helped shape them.
