TWC is pleased to announce the launch of TexasLaborAnalysis.com, an online suite of labor analysis tools designed to provide insight into Texas’ labor supply and demand. Texas Labor Analysis (TLA) presents wage data, occupational projections, current labor supply, Help Wanted Online job posting data, and more.
TLA empowers users to create in-depth reports for aggregated or single regions, showing labor demand, supply, and the gap between the two. The website also provides easy and quick reports containing the most commonly requested labor market data.
Here’s a closer look. With TLA, users can:
- Find an estimate of the formal labor supply of skilled workforce in Texas by viewing the number of enrollments and graduates for different programs of study offered by various schools across Texas (contact information for the schools is available)
- Discover real-time demand for occupations based on current Help Wanted Online postings data; use projected and latest employment numbers and salaries to analyze regional demand; sort filter and group their findings
- Compare the various sources of potential labor market supply and labor market demand; and customize reports by region or by occupations, and view statistics on a map that indicates the spread of the supply-demand relationship – or “gap” – by workforce regions in Texas
- Compare workforce regions in Texas based on wages, employment projections and monthly online job postings using the regional occupational profile tool
- Review top statistics such as the top 25 occupations in a given region, based on highest and highest projected employment, job openings, and highest wages.
Employers, individual workers, local and statewide economic developers, educators and schools, local Workforce Solutions offices, and Workforce Development Boards will all find TLA useful. The online application meets federal accessibility standards and adapts to tablet and smartphone screens.
