Meet ADVi, a new virtual tool to support college advising from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
What is ADVi?
ADVi is a chatbot – free to use* – that can answer college questions via a text message or web chat 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At this critical time of rapidly changing expectations and needs, ADVi can help ensure students have a place to ask their college questions and get reminded about the steps they need to take to ensure they stay on track.
*ADVi is free to use, but data and message rates may apply based on the user's mobile phone plan.
What kinds of questions can ADVi answer?
ADVi provides answers to general questions about applying to college, financial aid, the FAFSA and TASFA, scholarships, and much more.
ADVi provides only limited institution-specific information, but is backed up by a team of well-trained near-peer advisers who can jump into the conversation if a student needs more detail or has questions ADVi cannot answer.

Who made ADVi?
ADVi was created by the THECB in partnership with The University of Texas at Austin.
